"RomanCyrillic Std" is a Unicode font, incl. support for UC 16 (2024)

 for Macintoshes running OS X and Windows PCs - one file, all platforms.

"RomanCyrillic Std" has more than 4.500 characters. Special features are:

Version 11, summer 2024, supports Unicode up to v. 16 (2024)

  • Recent additions: Cyrillic Extended-C (Russian synodal printing), Typikon symbols (Orthodox church), Glagolitic superscripts, Cyrillic Extended-D (Modifiers);
  • Full Latin character set
  • Full monotonic and polytonic Greek character set
  • Full set of Cyrillic characters with all historic variants
  • Soviet additions to the Cyrillic Alphabet (Kazakh etc.)
  • IPA phonetic characters - complete set
  • Many additions in the Latin part not available in standard fonts (especially for transliteration purposes)
  • Full set of diacritics - combining (for use with any base character) or spacing (for display by themselves)
  • Extensive support for punctuation, numbers, mathematical expressions, fractions, Roman numbers, editorial characters and much more
  • OpenType Features built in for hundreds of alternate character shapes (modern and historical), for precise placement of diacritics, for ligatures, superscripts etc.
  • Matches Times® and Times New Roman® in design -- use them together without problems
  • Companion font "Kliment Std" has historical character shapes as basic glyphs (for those cases where OpenType features cannot be used); "Method Std" is the OCS black-letter design - the standard in Academic printing.

The font is free for academic use by students and scholars. It is not in the public domain. All rights to the font are reserved by the author. 

Commercial use of the fonts is not allowed. The fonts may not be mirrored on other sites and may not be included in font archives, CDs, DVDs etc. For commercial use, a special licensed version as well as an OpenType .otf version of the same fonts are available from the author. 

Der Font kann im akademischen Bereich frei benutzt werden, er ist jedoch kein Public Domain-Font. Der Autor behält sich alle Rechte an den Fonts und den Warenzeichen vor. Die Fonts dürfen nicht auf anderen Servern gespiegelt werden, in Font-Archive aufgenommen oder auf CD oder DVD weiterverbreitet werden. Eine kommerzielle Nutzung des Font ist nicht gestattet.
